We motivate our children to work together thru dramatic play where they have homelike materials, such like play food, dressing-up clothes, baby dolls and housekeeping items. Children will experiment an try new ways of doing things, while working with their hands using blocks is how they do math at this age.
At this age they are exploring new things is why we always have new learning toys and provide new learning experiences.
At this age communication is a big part of their growth and because their little minds are like sponges, to soak it all in, keeping everyday conversations is important and lends itself to new words and new phrases which enhance their vocabulary and language skills, children are taught in English and Spanish languages helping them to acquire bilingual language skills, our teachers work diligent teaching sign language helping our students to communicate easier and express their feeling when they don’t have the vocabulary yet.
We create a positive atmosphere to contribute that the student has good feeling about themselves and those around them.
In our toddler’s program we focus on creating routines that develops self-help, like following two-three step directions, putting away their toys, dressing themselves, good table manners and helping their teacher, these routines will serve children throughout their entire lives, we also concentrate in creating social skills such as sharing toys and having positive interactions with their peers.
When children turn two years-old and the parent and teacher agreed that they are ready for toilet training in partnership with parents we will start with this new task.
We work along with the Department of Health providing a nutritious meal for the children, incorporating new food to them and making meal time as part of our lessons.
Our teachers count with early childhood education training, background check, CPR and First Aid certification.
We maintain close communication with parents, keeping them informed about all the activities and progress the children make every day as well we offer an open-door policy welcoming parents to come any time, we conduct a survey twice a year to measure satisfaction and fulfillment of our mission.
