One Year Old

During this age we focus on their developmental stage, emphasizing safety, comfort, and the beginning of social skills, we provide many opportunities for them to channel all their energy, providing a positive and safe environment.

Establishing a consistent daily routine helps young children to feel secure and understand what to expect. We encourage positive social interactions modeling gentle touch, sharing and taking turn, intentionally we provide ample opportunities for sensory play and exploration using variety of textures, colors, and sounds to stimulate their sense. materials (water, sand, variety of fabrics for them to explore.

We work enthusiastically fostering language skills through regular conversations, reading and singing, using single words and phrases with expressive voices and pointing to pictures to capture their attention we provide a comfortable seating area with plenty books, where they can associate reading with pleasure and relaxation. In this classroom common objects are label with word and pictures to help children make connections between words and their meanings.

We support self-care skills such a hand washing and feeding themselves, offering assistance but encouraging independence.

Because we understand that in this age children do not have the language yet to express their emotions our personnel are trained in sign language helping them to express their feeling and avoid frustration. We acknowledge that each child develops at their own pace, we offer individualized attention and support based on each child’s needs. We maintain open and regular communication with parents and guardians, sharing daily reports and progress milestones.

We work along with the Department of Health providing a nutritious meal for the children, incorporating new food to them and making mealtime as part of our lesson.

Our teachers count with early childhood education training, background check, CPR and First Aid certification.
