In this program, we take into consideration that children at this age have increased attention span and activities levels, which need to satisfy their curiosity. We have created a happy and safe environment that allows children the opportunities for exploration and learning through fun and positive activities, helping our students to build self-confidence and grow socially, emotionally, and intellectually during this stage.
Our curriculum concentrates on physical development, social studies, mathematical thinking, science, creative expression through art, literacy using rhymes, stories and pre-reading. Our teachers are trained professionals who plan hands-on activities to encourage a natural learning that is part of every child’s day. Children learn by exploring the world around them, being active and curious through activities such a puppet play, storytelling, gardening and dressing up. Children are at their best when acquiring news skills and knowledge; experiences during this time shape attitudes and achievements for years to come. That is why creativity is promoted in this non-inhibited environment.
Understanding the importance of a well-prepared environment our classrooms are and equipped, and our teachers are trained to develop a comprehensive study plan, ensuring our students are safe and well-supervised.
All the activities we plan for our students are always presented in a positive and caring atmosphere.
We promote respect, courtesy, kindness, consideration of others, and listening and following instructions through exemplary interaction.
We understand that our students at this age need consistency, which is why we set a routine that helps prepare them for our VPK class the following year.
Safe, well-structured environments and caring teachers encourage and promote easy development in the child, which is why we build close relationships with our students helping them generate a positive self-image. As children grow, they form many relationships - first with parents, family members, and teachers, and later with their peers. The quality of these early relationships influences the socio-emotional part of their life.
All developmental areas are equally important, and we give equal attention to each child. Constant running, jumping and climbing requires a safe place to master new physical skills. We have an appropriate equipment that helps promote their gross motor skills.
We work along with the Department of Health to provide healthy and nutritious meals for the children, introducing new food and making meal time part of our lesson plan.
Our teachers have with early childhood training, background checks, and CPR and First Aid certification.
Our school has an open-door policy, and we encourage our parents to visit the school at any time. With our program we ensure constant communication to inform parents about their children’s daily life and general progress. As part of our commitment, we conduct a survey twice a year to measure satisfaction and fulfillment of our mission.
