A Bilingual Academy Built by Family, Run for Families
My First Place Academy was built around one belief: the early years matter more than almost any stage that follows. It's not just about caring for your child while you work — it's about building the foundation for who they become.
That belief shows up in a very specific way here — through complete bilingual immersion. From the infant room through VPK, children hear and use both English and Spanish every day, as a natural part of songs, conversations, stories, and play. It's not an add-on subject. It's the environment itself.
Owned and Led by Veronica & Aracelly Forero
My First Place Academy is led by owners Veronica Forero (Director) and Aracelly Forero. As directors, they're directly involved in the classrooms — observing, supporting teachers, and staying connected to how each child is actually doing day to day, rather than managing from a distance.
What Sets Our Classrooms Apart
- Complete bilingual experience — total immersion in English and Spanish from day one
- Purpose-built facilities — spaces designed specifically for early childhood learning, not repurposed rooms
- A real curriculum — an educational program built to prepare children for kindergarten and first grade, not just a daily activity schedule
- Active parental involvement — families are included in their child's development and discipline approach, not kept at arm's length
- Hands-on ownership — the directors are in the classrooms, observing and supporting teaching in real time
Our Facility
- Private parking area
- Video-monitored premises and a closed-circuit intercommunication system between classrooms
- Playground with 100% synthetic turf and age-appropriate play equipment
- Meals coordinated with the Florida Department of Health, prepared as part of a dedicated food program
- Modern, purpose-designed classroom spaces for every age group, infant through VPK
Our Approach to Growth
Every classroom — infant through four-year-old and VPK — is built around a consistent daily routine, hands-on and sensory-based learning, and bilingual instruction that grows in complexity with the child. Directors stay close to daily instruction, observing classrooms and supporting teachers so that the program stays consistent from room to room.
