Our Mission:
At our preschool, our mission is to cultivate a supportive and enriching environment that prioritizes the development of each child in our care. We are committed to providing safe, nurturing and inclusive space where children can explore, learn, and grow at their own pace. Through engaging activities, personalized attention, and positive reinforcement, we aim to foster not only academic skills but social, emotional, and physical well-being. Our dedicated and well-trained teachers are passionate about partnering with families to ensure each child receives the individualized support they need to thrive.
Ultimately, our goal is to empower children to become confident, curious, and compassionate individuals who are well-prepared for success in school and life. We work closely with parents and guardians in the formation of creative, socially and emotionally independent children, considering them our extended family.
Our Story
My First Place Academy is a private bilingual preschool that began operations in 2008 as a Family Child Care with the Department of Children and Families license approved for eight children; two years after, we were approved for twelve children, we count with Early Learning Coalition from the beginning able to reach more families. In 2023, we made a decision to build a center where we can reach more families, offering care for children from eight weeks old to five years old, including Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) as well as a before and after school program for school-age children and summer camp. Our best alliance are all the families that trust their children with us allowing us to serve them, they all were a very important part in our growth when they recommend our preschool, that is being the key for our success. We are proud to said that our students move to kindergarten speaking English and Spanish, with knowledge of numbers, colors, animals, letters, sounds, shapes in both languages. We are very thankful for the cooperation of Early Learning Coalition that help us training our staff teaching us strategies to be successful.
